On Competition:It is not the critic who counts: not the man
who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have

comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or

At the Nationals in Fredricksburg, MD ~ Jane and Briarlea Sir
Riley Bear get his first leg in agility with a score of 97 and first
place! |

Stella enters a Tracking Dog test and
passes, running a fast and accurate track! Yippee!!! Stella

Ringsport 1 with a score of 173.6/200 under Mexican judge Pepe Camerara. |

Stella, at the tender age of 6 months
certifies for the AKC TD.. This means she is eligible to enter AKC
Tracking Dog Tests for a title. Stella is Nick and Lark's
daughter. |

Pam Harder brings good news home from the
Fall GRSC trial where Cutter did her proud by earning the second leg on
his P.T. herding title! Briarlea Smurf Cutter CGC TDI CD PT. |

A big celebration for Lark as she
goes High in Trial at an ASCA Ranch Dog Trial under judge Roy Sage with
a score of 95/100 pts. She also finished her Started Cattle title
on Saturday and got Open legs in cattle and ducks...to garner "high
combined" other breed honors.
Labor Day weekend Lark goes to Canada and earns the CKC Intermediate
Herding Title. |

A note from Guy and Joyce Dobbert that
Briarlea Boojie has earned her CGC! This is a Toby x Ro youngster
living out in beautiful Buena Vista Colorado. Always a wonderful
thing to hear that folks are enjoying their dogs and that they are the
good citizens we hope all bouviers prove to be! |

Nancy Scott writes that Briarlea Cheyene
Charmed One (Piper) qualified for her first leg in Rally with a score of
98 for a third place win on August 13! After her debut, she
followed up with a 91 in her next trial! And, finishing her Rally Novice
title on September 17 with a 96! Piper, a sister to Lark, is
the beauty in the family! |

An update from Judy McPheeters tells
us that Briarlea Abbey and Briarlea Willow have both received their Open
Agility titles! Abbey is in the Excellent Preferred JWW and Willow
is in Excellent Standard. These are Judy's first competition dogs
and she's doing a great job with them! |

Nick graduates from obedience class with a
first place and a pre-novice score of 154/155. |

Lark qualifies at the Pine County Corn
Classic Aussie Trial to earn her Started Sheep title on June 16 and
earns one leg of her cattle title on June 17. |

Lark goes High Combined Score with
qualifying scores in two different classes of stock (ducks and sheep) at
the Outback Aussie Club trial June 10-11. She earned her Started
Duck title and one leg of her Started Sheep title. |

Congratulations to Rocket and Lynn Beihl on
earning their Tracking Dog title in May at the Marshfield KC's first
tracking test! |

Congratulations to Briarlea Cutter and Pam Harder
for the first leg on their AKC Rally Title...scoring 96/100 to earn
fourth place, followed by a 95 and an 83 to finish their Rally Novice
Title Memorial Day weekend! |

Ch. Briarlea Boomerang to Blackstone for finishing their AKC
championship on May 7! Boomer is a big, natural-eared dog proving
that dog shows aren't all about ears! Boomer was returned to us
when his owners could not keep him where he had been placed as a 'companion'
puppy. |
